Fran Cowart
I enjoy meeting and working with clients who are truly making a difference in their communities. I am passionate about using data to drive effective decision making and I enjoy collaborating with organizations to impact change.
At Greenway Strategy
I create and administer online surveys and virtual idea exchanges, analyze qualitative and quantitative data, and synthesize complex data for general audiences to understand. Using my background in qualitative research, I connect with stakeholders via focus groups and interviews, and facilitate teams setting strategic priorities for their organization. My strategy consultation includes higher education, K-12 education, state agencies, and community nonprofit organizations.
Where I’ve created impact
With a background in research and evaluation in the education and social impact spaces, I bring over fifteen years of experience to Greenway Strategy Group. My prior experience includes the following:
Outcomes Measurement Manager for the Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta — Primarily through surveys and focus groups, I measured the effectiveness of Girl Scout programming for over 36,000 girls and 17,000 adult volunteers yearly and communicated results with actionable recommendations.
Coordinator of Assessment for the Southern Regional Education Board — I worked in the school improvement department managing a national assessment and survey program for more than 1,000 schools. I also developed and administered surveys, analyzed education data, led training sessions, and evaluated literacy and mathematics programs.
My work has been published in two books focusing on school leadership and effective principals.
Experiences that inspire me
I currently serve on the board of directors and was recently the Director of Impact and Measurements of the Junior League of Atlanta, Inc. I am actively involved in the PTO at my children’s elementary school.
