Dr. Lakesha Goff

My desire to impact the lives of children and young adults is what fuels me to do this work!  Whether I am working with a large school district or a youth-focused non-profit, I find joy in helping them envision a bright future for every child.  It is always exciting to roll up my sleeves and work alongside leaders as they determine clear actionable steps to make their vision a reality.

At Greenway Strategy

At Greenway Strategy Group, I have the pleasure of analyzing qualitative data and connecting with stakeholders via focus groups and one-on-one conversations.  My job is to truly hear and understand the voices and thoughts of many, uncover commonalities, and elevate areas of opportunity.  My work is vital to Greenway Strategy’s mission as it centers around our belief that collaboration is a key component to change, and that growth is sustainable wherever a collective spirit lives. I primarily support youth-serving nonprofit organizations and K-12 school districts.

Where I’ve created impact

My prior experience includes:

  • Instructor in the School of Education at Western Governors University, where I prepare the next generation of talented educators in various graduate and undergraduate courses, including Preclinical Experiences and Inclusive Classroom

  • Assistant Principal at Centennial Academy in Atlanta Public Schools, where I crafted a comprehensive instructional coaching model for more than 50 teachers, coordinated all state and district standardized testing, and analyzed data to ensure academic growth for over 500 K-8 students.

  • Manager Teacher Leadership Development for Teach for America Metro Atlanta, where I provided individualized coaching for 25 novice STEM teachers and facilitated professional learning for more than 200 corps members focused on pedagogy, classroom culture, and equity.

  • Mathematics Teacher at innovative schools across the country including Ron Clark Academy, Ivy Preparatory Academy, and SEED Public Charter School, where I eliminated foundational gaps that led to increased mathematics confidence and achievement for middle grades students.

Experiences that inspire me

My passion for writing and educators’ growth has led me to share my insights by co-authoring a book entitled “C.R.A.F.T. Conversations for Teacher Growth: How to Build Bridges and Cultivate Expertise,” which provides educators and leaders with a blueprint to help build the capacity of teachers and teacher leaders.
